State Legislative Issues

As National Guardsmen, we deserve benefits at the state level.

Here is a list of the ones we are working on presently, but we invite you to tells us what you want in our FORUMS so that we can continue the agenda and resources necessary to represent the Air and Army Guardsmen in Oregon.

  1. State Education Program
  • Oregon is the only state in the Union that lacks a State Funded and Sponsored Education program for National Guardsmen.  In many states, you can attend a State Univeristy free of charge, merely by validating your Guard status with your state.  Imagine getting an education that costs you little to nothing?  WE WILL FIGHT FOR THAT BENEFIT FOR YOU
  1. Free Hunting Licenses
  • The former program Oregon had was federally funded through grant monies.  This program went away.  Now, we want to fight to get it back.  WE WILL FIGHT FOR THAT BENEFIT FOR YOU
  1. Free Fishing Licenses
  • Same as above WE WILL FIGHT FOR THAT BENEFIT FOR YOU
